Apart from needing a very gentle cleaning it seems to be just about as new. With 3 mm pads and a medium sized chamber mouthpiece it has a reasonable intonation I found a pretty rough and ready serial number list by putting in a search for 'Weltklang saxophone' It also gave some very fine photos. ![]() It was originally equipped with precise fitting 3 mm thick ringed pads. Bandmaster (and Silvertone) saxophones were sold by mail order company Sears. What is perhaps surprising, is the wide variety that these logos had My Weltklang specimen is stencilled Bandmaster with a 80xx serial number. Given that these horns were built for 30 years, this is not surprising. Peter Wilmanns, who put together a speculative serial number and basic features chart for Weltklang horns, identified 4 different Weltklang logos.
